  1. I saw Chess on Broadway in New York. I had been working with the 1988 World Chess Festival in Saint John, New Brunswick, CA when I first heard the music and learned every word by heart. Then I mailed away for the synopsis and vowed I would see it one day. Finally, I drove up to New York , my first visit to that wonderful city, and there I was: three rows back watching CHESS! Was marvelous!
